Война (лорда) Данмора
Вооруженный конфликт 1774-75, названный по имени губернатора Вирджинии, между поселенцами колонии и племенами минго [Mingo] и шауни [Shawnee]. Поводом к войне послужило неспровоцированное убийство колонистами в апреле 1774 всей родни вождя минго Логана [Logan, James]. Исход решился в битве при Пойнт-Плезанте [Point Pleasant, Battle of]. Победа над индейцами и строительство фортов обеспечили колонистам относительно надежный тыл во время Войны за независимость [War of Independence]
